VISITING OUR CAMPUS
To ensure the safety and security of everyone in our community, all visitors — including parents and guardians — are required to check in at the front office upon arrival. Once signed in, a visitor badge will be provided and should be worn at all times while on school grounds.

Arrival Procedures
Doors open at 7:05 am. Students should not arrive before that time as there is no one to supervise them.
To expedite the arrival process, we have three drop-off locations.
Drive A - Pre-Kindergarten & Older Siblings
(right side of school, yellow arrows in the map)
- Lane 1 – This lane is located closest to the sidewalk. Students are to be dropped off in this lane. For safety purposes, we ask that all students exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. This will prevent students from having to exit the vehicle into moving traffic.
- Lane 2 – This lane is open for vehicles driving through the driveway. For safety reasons, students are not allowed to exit the vehicle in this lane during arrival.
Drive B – Youngest Child in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, or 2nd Grade & Older Siblings

- Lane 1 – This lane is located closest to the sidewalk. Students are dropped off in this lane. For safety purposes, we ask that all students exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. This will prevent students from having to exit the vehicle into moving traffic.
- Lane 2 – This lane is open for vehicles driving through the driveway. For safety reasons, students are not allowed to exit the vehicle in this lane during arrival.
*Do NOT drop off students in the parking lot. This is not safe due to vehicle traffic. If you wish to use the parking lot, park your vehicle in a spot and walk your child to the school entrance.
Car Rider Dismissal Procedures
Students will be dismissed as follows:
- Pre-Kindergarten at 2:40
- Car Riders at 2:50
- Bus Riders at 2:52
- YMCA, Daycares, Walkers, and Bike Riders at 2:55
To expedite the dismissal process, we have three car rider pick-up locations. Please clip your child(ren)'s car rider tag to your vehicle's sun visor or rear-view mirror.

Walker & Bike Rider Dismissal Procedures
Walkers and Bike Riders
Students are given 'free release' if a walker or bike rider. This means that we do not verify that a child is united with their parent/guardian before leaving campus. When making a family decision about your child's dismissal method, please consider his or hers readiness for a safe, independent walk home.
Crosswalk
Walkers will be led by teachers to the crosswalk at the front of our school. Parents: please allow our staff to walk the student line to this point. Thank you for your partnership and support of our campus safety procedures.

Crosswalk and Vehicle Traffic
Safety... it takes all of us to make a difference!
Our main crosswalk is located at the intersection of Copper Meadow Dr. and Palmito Ranch Rd. Please stop for crossing students, staff and pedestrians.
For student safety and improved traffic flow, please refrain from parking or leaving a vehicle unattended in the areas noted in the map.
Attendance and Tardy Policy
Attendance
We value every student and believe that being present each day builds a strong foundation for learning and success! Regular attendance helps students grow academically and socially, and being in class on time ensures they don't miss valuable learning opportunities.
A parent note or doctor’s note is required within five days of any student absence. Parent notes should be emailed to both the attendance secretary and your child’s teacher and must include the student's full name, date(s) of absence, and reason.
Absences may be excused for:

Personal illness

Health care appointments (with a doctor's note)

Serious illness or death in the immediate family

Emergencies that prevent school attendance
If a student is absent for more than five consecutive days, a doctor’s note is required to excuse the absences.

Tardies
Arriving to class on time is an important part of supporting a positive learning environment. Students are considered tardy if they are not in class when the 7:30 am tardy bell rings.

Lunch Time Procedures
We love welcoming families on campus for lunch! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
- Visitors may join their student during their lunch time.
- Sit in designated visitor areas as directed by campus staff.
- You may bring food for your student only. For the safety of all students, food may not be shared with others.
- No additional students are allowed to join the visitor during lunch.
- After lunch, visitors should return to the front office to check out. Visitors are not permitted to visit other areas of the campus during the school day.

Student Birthdays and Classroom Celebrations
We love celebrating special moments with our students!
Birthday Celebrations:
Birthdays are a fun and meaningful part of the school year and may be recognized in the classroom during the last 20 minutes of the school day.
Students may bring snacks or treats to share with classmates on their birthday, however, due to food allergies, we encourage unopened, store-bought items with the ingredient label showing or non-food items.
Please do not bring balloons, flowers, or other party items to the school. You are welcome to bring outside party invitations to pass to your students' classmates as long as every child in the class receives an invitation.
PTA Birthday Gram
Order a Birthday Gram to be delivered to your student on their birthday!
The PTA will deliver a birthday surprise to your student on their birthday (or the next school day). If your student has a summer birthday, order for the beginning of the school year or end of the school year! The gift will include: a smencil, bracelet, small treat, and ribbon. The cost is $5 each.
Please place order at least 1 week in advance for planning purposes.
Classroom Parties:
In partnership with the PTA, three classroom parties are held each year—typically in December, February, and spring. Information about each party will be sent home in advance. For questions or details, please reach out to the front office.
Enrollment, Withdrawals & Transfers
Enrolling a Student

Withdrawing a Student
If you need to withdraw a student, please notify the campus at least three school days before the student’s last day so that records and documents may be prepared.
